- October, 2022Very sad. I think that primates know a lot more than we give them credit for. In the wild both the mother and baby would have died due to the mother’s infection regarding the retained placenta. Another mother taking the baby is a chance for the baby to possibly live. If they are feeling poorly, whatever they have will be passed onto the baby, and they know it.
