Emma must have known that Subis was ill from the infection and took over raising the baby incase the mother would die. That way the baby would have a chance of surviving Very sad. I think that primates know a lot more than we give them credit for. In the wild both the mother and baby would have died due to the mother’s infection regarding the retained placenta. Another mother taking the baby is a chance for the baby to possibly live.
