- October, 2022Hopefully we can get their population up, and safeguard them from poachers. Most elephants that are in zoo's are usually rescues and some are rescued when they are really young. If they aren't weened properly or are unresponsive to being re-integrated into the wild they are usually kept in reserves or zoo's in hope of breeding or helping educate those whom are less informed about the animal and what is going on in the world.
