- October, 2022Yes, they do cry, express various emotions including joy, fear, and wonder. Bear's too express grief when they lose one of their cubs as do whales and dolphins. It is only man or humans that refuse to believe that other animals are capable of expressing emotions. Even caged mice and rats count and worry over their young. They will even eat them if they think it won't survive. This keeps the smell of death away as well as insects that eat dead animals, thus it keeps their babies safer in the wild to do that. They are much more in touch with their feelings than we are.
